The Swiss Institute for Art Research (SIK-ISEA) is an art of science and technological competence centre with national and international scope. Main focuses are research, documentation, knowledge transfer and services in area of visual arts.

SIK-ISEA is an online portal, where Swiss Art lovers can discover scientifically founded information about Swiss art and art history. SIK-ISEA presents current research projects and provides a publication list with possibilities to order. The institute introduces itself as an art of science and technological competence centre and offers a wide range of information. The website was created in collaboration with CRAFFT and went online end of 2015 in four languages (German, English, French and Italian).

Technology

The webportal is implemented with opensource CMS DNN. Different third party DNN modules are in use like Hotcakes for online-shop or SearchBoost, which enhances the search functionality of DNN. iContent module is used for various contents, so that editors can easily enter securely structured contents.
